# Policy Settings

## Spam Filter

**Disable spam filter** - `bypass_spam_checks`
Disable spam filter checking.
Default: no

**Spam action** - `spam_action`
The action to take when mail is detected as spam.
Default: move

**Receive spam** - `spam_lover`
Receive spam but with alert header line added. Setting this to no to enable the spam kill level option to reject mail over a certain spam level.
Default: yes

**Spam level** - `spam_tag2_level`
If spam score is at or above this level then spam-related header fields (X-Spam-Status, X-Spam-Level, X-Spam-Flag and X-Spam-Report) are inserted for local recipients, and X-Spam-Flag and X-Spam-Status bear a YES.
Default: 7

**Spam kill level** - `spam_kill_level`
If spam score is at or above this level then it is rejected. It will not be delivered to the users mailbox.
Default: 7

**Spam folder** - `spam_folder`
The folder to move mail to when a message is considered spam.
Default: Spam

**Mark spam as read** - `spam_mark_read`
Mark spam as read after moving it to the spam folder.
Default: no

**Spam quarantine cutoff level** - `spam_quarantine_cutoff_level`
If spam score is at or above this level then it will not be quarantined.
Default: 9999

**Spam subject tag** - `spam_subject_tag2`
Tag the subject line of a message that reaches the spam level.
Default: \*\*\*SPAM\*\*\*

## Virus Filter

**Disable virus filter** - `bypass_virus_checks`
Disable virus filter checking.
Default: no

**Receive viruses** - `virus_lover`
Receive viruses, with alert header line added.
Default: empty

**Warn virus recipient** - `warnvirusrecip`
Send a notification to the recipient that a virus was detected.
Default: empty

**Virus administrator** - `virus_admin`
Send virus notifications to this email address.
Default: empty

## File Filter

**Disable banned file filter** - `bypass_banned_checks`
Disable banned file filter checking.
Default: empty

**Receive banned files** - `banned_files_lover`
Receive banned file attachments but with alert header line added.
Default: empty

**Warn banned file recipient** - `warnbannedrecip`
Send a notification to the recipient that a banned file was detected.
Default: empty

**Banned files administrator** - `banned_admin`
Send banned file notifications to this email address.
Default: empty

## Header Filter

**Disable bad header filter** - `bypass_header_checks`
Disable bad header filter checking.
Default: empty

**Receive bad header emails** - `bad_header_lover`
Receive bad header email but with alert header line added.
Default: empty

**Warn bad header recipient** - `warnbadhrecip`
Send a notification to the recipient that a bad header was detected.
Default: empty

**Bad header administrator** - `bad_header_admin`Send bad header notifications to this email address. Default: empty

## Unchecked

**Receive unchecked emails** - `unchecked_lover`
Receive unchecked files but with alert header line added. Default: yes

## Misc

**Message size limit** - `message_size_limit`
The server wide message size limit in bytes. Set to 0 for no size limit.
Default: empty

## Whitelist and Blacklist

The whitelists and blacklists support the following entry types:

`@example.com` : An entire domain.
`@.domain.com` : An entire domain and all its sub-domains.
`user@example.com` : A single email address.
