# Policies

## Policies

This is where you manage content filter policies. A parent policy setting will take precidence if a child setting is set to default (server -> domain -> mailbox).

| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Created | The date the domain name was created. |
| Domain name | The domain name. |
| Company | The company of the customer. |
| Mailboxes | The number of mailboxes for the domain. |
| Spam filter | Is spam filtering enabled for the policy? |
| Virus filter | Is virus filtering enabled for the policy? |
| File filter | Is banned attachment filtering enabled for the policy? |
| Header filter | Is bad header filtering enabled for the policy? |
| Spam action | The action to take when mail is considered spam. |
| Spam level | Consider mail spam when score is at or above this level. |

## DNS Policies

This is where you check that DNS records for your domains are valid for sending and receiving email. The DNS check is cached for 1 hour. You can view how to create your DNS records here:

| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Created | The date the domain name was created. |
| Domain name | The domain name. |
| Company | The company of the customer. |
| DNS | Is DNS enabled for the domain in Plesk? |
| Mail | Is mail enabled for the domain in Plesk? |
| MX | Does the MX record for the domain exist? |
| RDNS | Does the PTR record for the first MX host exist? |
| DMARC | Does the DMARC record for the domain exist? |
| SPF | Does the SPF record for the domain exist? |
| DKIM | Does the DKIM record for the domain exist? |
