Upgrade Guide

We provide free upgrade services. Open a support ticket in our client area to have an experienced tech handle the upgrade for you!

Upgrading to Warden 2.0

• This is a major release so users will be required to go though the application setup wizard after upgrading.
• Incompatible components will be disabled on upgrade (SpamAssassin service, drweb).
• Legacy Plesk spam filter settings will no longer be used but administrators can optionally migrate old mailbox settings using the Policy migrator.
• If your server is using courier-imap you will have to switch it over to dovecot. See: Switching from Courier to Dovecot

1. Login to your server using SSH and opt into the upgrade by running the command: touch /usr/local/psa/admin/htdocs/modules/warden/upgrade_me
2. Login to Plesk and go to Extensions -> Updates -> Check Warden Anti-spam and Virus Protection -> Press the Update button to upgrade the extension.
3. Click on the Warden extension and go though the setup wizard.
4. If you would like to migrate old legacy settings from Plesk you can do that using the Policy Migrator under Warden -> Settings -> Policy Migrator (optional).
